Getting around in Lucca
The Tuscany region provides a“Travel Planner” that lets you know the network, schedules, frequencies, prices, and calculates a route using multiple means of transportation, intermodally.
By typing in the departure and arrival addresses, it proposes travel solutions and allows you to choose whether to use public transportation or private car.
Mapping bus stops allows you to calculate the route from stop to stop. It provides the daily, monthly, and annual cost of Pegaso intermodal passes.
The Travel Planner prospects navigable maps of the territory and on them allows the location of addresses, ports, stations, and bus stops.
The search engine consists of a geographic database integrated with regional routes and schedules, which, managed by the Regional Observatory for Mobility and Transportation, allows the constant updating of information based on the data communicated by the various companies managing the service.

Tourists traveling to Lucca can move around easily thanks to the many public transportation services present that can make connections possible both within the historic center and to areas on the immediate outskirts.
The historic center of the city is small and closed to traffic, so it is possible to visit it on foot or by bicycle. For those reaching the city by car, there are numerous parking lots outside the walls along the walled route then connected to the historic center by bus and shuttle services.
